I have a pal who wants to buy FS2004 A Century of Flight. His sytem is unlikely to take FSX. He tells me that he cannot determine if FS2004 will run on VIsta (which is what he has on his computer). Can anyone confirm one way or the other
It does run in Vista. Personally i've fopund for me it runs better in Vista then it does in XP.

Couldn't agree more. I run Vista 64-bit and have absolutely zero issues running FS9. As a matter of fact, I also think it runs a bit smoother.

Many thanks for that information. I will pass that on to my pal

I concur with T18 and Jay. The much maligned Vista is perfectly fine and runs FS9 very well indeed.

I would suggest however, install FS2004 into a folder other than the default Program Files or Program Files (x86) folder.
Vista has additional security restrictions on those folders which even turning off UAC will not solve easily.
