Engines quit as does autopilot

Hi All,

I have just reinstalled FS9 and some of my add ons such as Wilco 737 and PMDG. Configuring for flight (FMS etc) is no problem and everything interacts as it should. Sometime between the take off roll or in flight the engines cut out for no reason and the AP disconnects. Tried Wilco and PMDG 737's and makes no difference. Tried reinstalling FSUIP and Aerosoft products also no difference. Has anybody else experienced this and if so what was the solution. Thanks in advance.

Are you using the Saitek yoke?

No, I am using CH Yoke and pedals.

Does this sound like a software or hardware problem?

I'm not sure about CH, but if it was a Saitek yoke setup, I'd've counseled you to remove the SST software that Saitek includes with the yoke kit. The software is responsible for more 'phantom button presses' and engine/autopilot offs than anything. Removing that software kayoes the problem.

But since it's a CH you're using....I'm completely in the dark there.

Ok, I believe I have finally tracked down the problem. It is CH Yoke. I disconnected it for a troublefree flight. As soon as I reconnected the engines cut out as did AP.

Next stage is to try and fix this problem. Any thoughts appreciated.
