Hello everyone,

I am new to the AFCAD program, and have figured most of it out. The problem I have is that there are different types of parking spots for different types of planes in AFCAD, however, the AI seems to put planes in whatever it wants. I placed a series of military transport spots with AFCAD, and I have C-17s in my AI at Charleston Int'l/AFB. It parks C-17s in the GA spots across the ramp, or at the terminal! Or, it parks the commercial jets on the transport spots. Is there a way to specify the spots so the right planes are in the right spots?

There is no known way of specifying a specific parking spot for FS, but check the AFCAD docs for how to restrict aircraft by size. Lee says wingspan is the determining criterion.

Well sort of. Open your airport in AFCAD, click LISTS|PARKING. All things being equal (size does matter) this is the order your AI planes will park. You can drag the parking assignments to be in any order you like. For example if your MD83 arrives at 0100 and you want it to go in parking 7 move it to the top of the list and so on depending on the time of arrival.
