I decide to do a little spin around DC this evening in the Real Air 172. I have ASA loaded...broken clouds light wind at 340.
I get clearance to land at KDCA (payware) RWY1. As I am on final the nutty ATC clears a 747 to land 2nd.. The 747 roars over my head when I am about 1000ft from the threshold...it is told to go around.
Suddenly...I am thrown around like a balsa wood plane. I recover...get down to about 60ft above the number...and bang I get another shot of wild turb that throw me into the ground.
Pretty cool :) I assume this was ASA wake turb since FS2004 does not sim this.
