not sure if this has been mentioned here before
If you use an ati card with Fsx and have some fs 2004 vintage planes that you ported over to fly
- direct x 10 preview needs to be off if you want to fly these fs9 planes in other than grey
- also though having filter set to anistropic will have the same effect (you get grey planes with skins unloaded) whereas filter set to none or bilinear should be ok
at first i thought it was creeping hard drive corruption and wasted 3 hours error checking a 700 gig hard drive
