Hi world,
I've got a fried who has got the Cyborg 3D Joystick. He told me about problems with the FS 2000 Pro. He couldn't take off because the joystick doesn't work correctly. If he moves the stick at the left (or whereever) it's like you would play with the keyboard and just hit the key again and again. It's flickering (hope that's the right word for it, sorry my English is not very good at all).
Has anybody an idea to get the control again?
Thanx a lot
Steeve

I used to have a Cyborg 3D before upgrading to a yoke. A couple of things come to mind.
1) Has the joystick been calibrated within Windows ?
2) Has a profile been created for the Command Centre ? (I'm assuming you've installed the Cyborg software)
3) Frequently within FS98 I found that FS98 failed to "see" the joystick, and needed a prompt. There is a little utility called "Joystart.exe" that "kickstarts" Windows into re-polling the joystick. It can be found here:

Hope this helps,

My friend has calibraded it in Windows and FS recognised it too but it flickers.
He's a newbee at the computer so it's hard to tell him what to do, but he has also used the command centre but FS doesn't like the Cyborg 3D at all.
OK, I will tell him to configure the joystick again in the command centre but I don't believe that this would help...
Thanx a lot ;-)

I have a Cyborg 3d USB Digital. It seems to work fine in all my games, including FS2k and 98. All I can think of is the drivers, I don't use the original drivers, I got a newest version off the site last time I installed windows. If its not that I dunno what it is :(.

Hi Steeve-
I also own a Saitek Cyborg 3D and have also had the "flickering" problem. Originally, it was the only controller that I had installed on my computer. But when I upgraded to a USB yoke, I noticed the flickering in the Cyborg AND the yoke. When I went to the calibration/testing control panel, the Cyborg was flickering all over the place. I tried new drivers, etc. but was never able to get rid of the flicker.
In the end, I disconnected the Cyborg and deleted the drivers and simply stored the Cyborg on a shelf. I can't use it. :-( However, I'm happy with my yoke. ;-)
Sorry I don't have any answers, but I can confirm that the same thing has happened to me.
