Ati tray tools [Archive]

I install "Ati tray tools" and I improve my frame rates in a very impressive way. The Vsync is much powerful than the catalyst default, and have a 3D engine improve that makes possible to have more autogen without too much impact on FPS. Anyone else use the program?

Just wondering what his specs are. And if he just got a ATI card recently. Also wonder what he DID TO/WITH ATI Tools to make it possible to have more autogen without the frame hit. I have an ATI Radeon and Catalyst drivers. I get 24 fps. Would like 30 fps. So what do I do (besides pray)?

Edit: Went and downloaded it. I had the old version, including CCC, so I know what to do so don't bother. But increase FPS with just vsync tweak? I don't know.

Hi All,

With ATI Tray Tools there are more AF Filtering options, texture options, mip map options, additional options and optimizations that all can lead to better frame rates. It is more than just v sync.

I have a ATI 3670 512 MB, on a Dell Studio XPS, with 4 GB Ram and 2.4 ghz Intel core 2 duo. Before ATi Tray tools I am able to run FSX only with SP1, If I install SP2 or Acceleration, FSX have lag. After the installation of Ati tray tools I could use FSX with acceleration and force the Vsync and I forget the lag. The autogen before Ati tray tools works good only in very sparse, and I only get around 25 fps, with tray tools I get 30 fps with very dense autogen and normal scenery complex, and I can put water, mesh, textures and detail radious on max level. The light bloom works much better and there is no frame impact with that. This maximization only works good with DirectX10 active, so forget all the planes that dont have DirectX preview avalaible.

I have Ati Tools but many options I dont know what are for and it doesnt come with a help file.
For example what is :Flip Queue size? and many other options to change I havent touch because just dont know what is it
