I learned how to create overlay airports to have planes go to certain terminals and even land on a seperate runway but when they land on that runway they also take off on the same runway. I want the planes to land and take off on seperate runways like most of the uploaded gate / taxiways additions. Anyone know how to do this?? I want it to be one AFCAD .txt file that will use the seperate runways for depart and takeoff.

thanks :)

I don't know if there are various ways to do this, but one way is to set the 'closed' flag on the runway you want to use for landing.

The ATC normally directs all aircraft, both those taking off and those landing, to the longest runway. However, if the longest runway is flagged as closed at both ends, then the ATC directs departing aircraft to the next longest runway. Landing aircraft, however, still arrive on the longest runway even if it is flagged as closed.

To close a runway in AFCAD, Go to Lists > Runways, select the runway you want to close, then click Properties and select 'Closed' from the Restrictions drop-down box, for both ends of the runway.

To specify the runway you want to be used for landing aircraft, you must make sure it's the longest. If it isn't, then shorten the length of other runways (in the runway properties) until it is. This won't affect the physical appearance of the airport.
