Ad-Aware, Adware Professional, Webroot, Spyware Doctor, Spy Sweeper, Spyware Detective,.. other? Reasons for your choice would be good, too.

Hi,

None, just a good Anti-Virus, and Firefox for my browser.

I run Spybot once in a while, shredder, super spyware remover and a couple others (they don't all scan for the same things). NONE of them are "active" installs. They ONLY run anything when I manually start and update them. Pretty much never find anything other than add cookies and stuff.

I don't bother with a virus scanner or firewall on the home PC as we have a hardware firewall / router my roommate and I share on an Optimum Boost cable modem.

However, I did setup my sisters laptop with AVG and ZoneAlarm as she travels a lot. God knows whats on the hotel systems and free wi-fi hot spots she connects to around the world...

I found this to be one of the most comprehensive:

Certainly found a few nasty things the others didn't.

There is an issue with Spyware Doctor and Nvidia drivers. The resolution on my monitors became locked at 800x600. Only an
uninstall of Spyware Doctor solved the problem

I use the free edition of Ad-Aware once a week to scan the computer. Other than Ad-Aware once a week I just use AVG Free and avoid potentially bad websites and downloads.

Super Antispyware is another one worth trying.
