Well, after using Tileproxy all this time, I decided to go back to Ultimate Terrain X because I miss flying at night, the trees, the snow, etc....
Tileproxy also as well does have some rediculously long loading times depending on how you have it set, and I like things with MAXIMUM detail.
I'll be posting some shots coming from my flight tonight, but in the meantime, I leave you with one last Tileproxy shot over my neighborhood heading away from my house....:)

As much as I will miss Tileproxy, I'll still keep it on my system just in case if I ever feel like flying with it again, and I probably will, but in the mean time, trying out UT X again. I miss night lighted textures and trees like I said.
Have a good one all....:D!

Combine UTX with Ground Environment X and I think that will meet
your requirements.
I use Real Environment X for airport textures, SKy and Clouds.
Actually looks real and doesn't impact frame rates.

+1. That's what I have, and I was able to turn off autogen (ala TP) and it looks good. Nothing will beat the real thing like TP, but this combo's a close second.
Nice TP shot John. My load time is long enough as it is, so I probably won't be doing any TP stuff any time soon.

I'm running REX and GEX, but have been wanting to also run UTX also, so I will be looking forward to your upcoming shots to help me decide :)

GEX/UTX/REX, is the combination I use John and it makes for some pretty good VFR stuff,I also use FSwaterconfigurator along with everything else and it gives some good wave effects. It is pretty much trial and error til you find that "sweet spot"!:D:cool:

Thanks JB - unfortunately with budget, I"ll have to make do with UTX right now since I had it all ready, but will consider the other addition to it of Ground Environment X.....at least now I'll be able to fly at night again with the areas that I enjoyed - that's one thing I missed the most.
Thanks Kingnorris on that tip on shutting off the Autogen as well - I"ll have to try it for it may work good with it for me, since I was used to it with Tileproxy - I'll keep you all posted...
Joe - I'll definitely be posting some shots later on for you of everything so that way you can hopefully make a good decision as to weather or not try it or not....
Thanks Gary - I'll keep in mind the Water Configurator thing....didn't know you would be able to use it with REX....:D.
Thanks Jan - sorry to miss lead, but it is TP.....one last Hoorah I guess before switching over...:o.

Thanks Andrew - It's just like I seemed to be in the old same rut with the FS and all - had to try something new at least to see what it was all about again, since I did use it before i discovered Tileproxy. It's just that with the load times, it was rediculous if I had to refresh for any reason or just to load up the flight plan. Like I said too, I kinda miss the trees and things like that as well....
Thanks Adam - I'll try to post the same high quality postings as I have in the past with UTX USA...:D.

Thanks Andrei, and I tried it last night again - think I'll use it for night flying and TP For the normal stuff - I can't take those differences with the rendered worlds....To me, it's like having a Corvette and having to downgrade to an older beat up Yugo - but who knows, maybe if I can tweak it right I'll enjoy it more. I don't know - I just can't go away from it, except, like I said, at night....:)
