I'm new here and hope this is the right forum for this. If not, feel free to move it to the appropriate forum.
After buying a new computer that could handle it, I finally bought a copy of Flight Simulator X, and love it except for one thing. It seems to be causing an error whenever I run a virus scan. I use Norton Internet Security (I know- not my first choice, but it's what came with the computer) and whenever I do a full system scan, I end up with the following error:
Norton Internet Security has encountered an internal program error.
0x800706BE
3038, 107
It didn't happen before I installed FSX. I've tried 3 times, and it tends to happen while scanning files in the directory \Scenery\NAMW\texture.
I tried Norton's online troubleshooting and it didn't help, so I sent them an email but I haven't heard back yet. Has anybody else experienced this issue?
Just to be clear, FSX works just fine. It just seems as though there is some sort of compatibility issue that is causing problems with Norton Internet Security and I was wondering if anybody else had experienced it or knew a fix.
