I have Flight Sim X. I live next to a small grass airfield that is in FSX. I would like to build some scenery their. A small house and hanger. I've been reading about scenery files in FSX and looking through this web site for add ons. It seems that all add on scenery goes in a particular place or geographic area. I also have read that I should have some programing excperience. Can I create the scenery I want from within FSX?

sure you can !

easly - with the wishplacer - you even add objects after you start your fsx - and see the objects being added live !

There are a number of programs you can use to create scenery; some are commercial and some are freeware. I currently use ADE (Airport Design Editor (http://www.airportdesigneditor.co.uk/)), which allows you to both add visible scenery and to change runways, taxiways, etc. as AI aircraft and ATC see them. It's fairly easy to use, and can access most of the free scenery object libraries around (web searches are good, along with searching for "scenery library" on flightsim.com).
