Where's the landing at Anchorage photo's?

Nice shots. I love the AF1 scheme for the 747. It's probably my favorite plane.

Nice shots. I wonder what the cockpit of Air Force One actually looks like. As far as I'm aware the plane is a modified 747-200, but it's hard to think that it would still have the old school "steam driven" panel... If you watch the movie with Harrison Ford there seem to be LCD screens and modern looking LED numbers on the MCP, but I suppose that's nothing to go by!

I just watched a great show last week on National Geographic regarding AF1. The cockpit didn't appear any different then normal. I would suggest looking the show up and watching. It was very good.

I love the Anchorage shots. Very crisp!

Thanks fellow simmers.............

AF1 uses the B747-200 classic gray cockpit round engine gauges.
It has the ND and FMC features that you see on the 400 series.
National Geographic had number of shows on AF1 last month and there is one that shows the cockpit features.

actually, i recently watched a documentry on the national geographic channel about airforce 1. it appears to be a modified 744 panel but they didn't do too many closeups on the panel. one intresting fact is they have not only a first officer and captain in command but an engineer and navigator. pretty cool imo.
