I'm using many partitions in my PC. (on 2 different HDD)

DISK 1 : Windows and utilities (part C)
FSX (part D)

DISK 2 : ( Part. E, F, G, H, K, L )

My FSX ( part C ) is full .
I want to install a new addon on the part G.

Some well made programs offer the choice and let you determine the place you will install it.

Some others not..... and shows this message:
Select the FSX folder and click NEXT. To install to a different FSX-folder click BROWSE and select an other FSX-folder.

If I give the way to my partition G, I receive the message: FSX can not be find.

DO you have the solution to that issue ? Thank you very much.

Hi,

Some software is installed directly into FSX and that is why you are asked for your FSX folder. Other programs do not.

On disk 2 there is really no need for all those partitions.

One solution is a new hard drive, with one partition, for your FSX and and add ons. They are not that expensive any more.

Depending on you OS you could move your flight simulator x/scenery folder (or maybe something like simobjects) to another partition and use a link/junction program to set a link from flight simulator x to the folder on the other partition. I've done that in the past in Win XP when I ran out of room on my system (C) partition using this:

don't know about Vista.
