C\$Mft is corrupt and unreadable

My girlfriend's computer is displaying this message repeatedly when it boots up. I eventually can keep x-ing out of the message window and get by it, but what is going on and is it fixable? I often need a FlightSim fix when visiting her and this is making it difficult.
