Just a small thread to add just few things to the review of this yoke.
1- The CH control manager : this soft although a bit difficult to use first is a noteworthy part of the package : It allows the creation of profiles with fine per axis calibration, powerfull button assignment (including keystroke, useful for trackIR center and pause function for instance). Button assignment also include the possibility to assign a button as a shift function that allow to use the same button for two functions. Once several (per aircraft for instance..) profiles are created it is easy to switch between them. In short this soft does a bit more than what a registered version of FSUIPC does but it is free. It's only drawback is that (contrary to FSUIPC) it can't make profile when combining a CH product with another brand of controller (CH pedals with saitek X-45 require a registered FSUIPC to have similar functions). I don't know what is saitek's offering regarding interfacing their hardware with FS but I can tell that CH product did a great job with the control manager !
2- isn't it odd to test the yoke with an airplane controlled with a stick (the F-18) ? It would make more sense testing an HOTAS
3 - How does it compare with the previous CH flight sim yoke ? Is it just a matter of more buttons and colored throttles (very boring) of does the feel of the controller as changed ? If it has changed it it better ?
4- concerning the price in europe (simware) I found the CH flight flight sim yoke + rudder pedals bundle at 249 € while the CH eclipse yoke it at 199 € (add another 129 € if you want the pedals and reading the review you will as the pedal give you differential braking beside rudder control). Saitek offering for a Yoke + pedal bundle is at 208 € on the same site. doesn't the CH flight sim yoke+ rudder pedal bundle make more sense ? (or saitek bundle if you want to go saitek)
Cheers
Julien
