I am a long time member and a first time poster.

I purchased the Wilco 777 today and I have been having some trouble getting the aircraft textures to show. I am running on Windows Vista Ultimate SP #1 and 32 bit program. I am running Flight Simulator X + Acceleration. The Flight Simulator X is installed in the default location. FSX runs with no problems.

The problem that I am having is I can not get the 777 to show the aircraft textures. The aircraft just shows up as a solid white body without any paint or details. When I download the free textures that came with the program I get the same results. When I download a free re-paint from Flightsim.com I also get the same results.

To confirm that the downloaded program was good, I deleted the Wilco 777 program from Flight Simulator X. I then purchased a $2 pirated copy of Wilco 777. Hey, this is Indonesia, you can buy pirated programs everywhere. I installed the pirated copy of Wilco 777 and still had the same results where the aircraft is visible, but it is a solid white.

The fact that 2 copies of the same program gave me the same results, leads me to believe that the download original program from Wilco and the Indonesian pirated copy are both good programs. I think I must have a wrong setting in Windows Vista somewhere.

I have read through the forums and have not found an answer to this problem yet. I downloaded the 777 from Wilco using both Firefox and Internet Explorer. I have moved the general realism slider to maximum. I have taken full control of all Flight Simulator X files.

Have you seen this problem before. Do you have any solution for this problem. Do you have any suggestions that I can try and report back to you??

Thanks for your help!

Although Wilco 777 is compatible with Flight Simulator X, it is not compatible with DX-10. To see the textures of the aircraft in FSX it will have to be run with DX-9.

I do not consider this to be a valid reason to go back to DX-9.

I suggest to all users who are considering paying money for an add-on to check if it is DX-10 compatible, if you want to run FSX with DX-10.
