Hi Guys

In a change from tradition I am for once not flying from Birmingham UK, instead we take the Claridge Air Charter flagship aircraft from Birmingham USA to Ft. Lauderdale for a bit of much needed sun.

I'm quite pleased with these and the "Claridge Air Charter" Airbus is a lot more realistic than the 737 I am happy to say!

Thanks for looking and please feel free to leave any comments.

1) It's a foggy morning as we make our preparations for an 11:30 departure slot...

2) We taxi out into the fog, passing some nice Southwest 737s on the way...

3) And we are off into the grey...

4) Soon we pop out of the cloud layer into beautiful blue skies! (I really like this one!!)

5) Climbing to our assigned cruise level of FL330...

6) Flying and still climbing over the "fall" landscape...

7) This is more like it - perfect weather for flying!

8) We are in the descent now towards Ft. Lauderdale

9) Out over the sea during vectors to the ILS approach...

10) Gear coming down...7 miles to run...

12) Taxi to our gate - kindly provided by Southwest!

Beautiful trip my friend! :D Love the simplistic livery.

I'm preparing for my first visit to the UK (except for our VFR flight, of course :D) tomorrow. Maybe I'll catch you at the airport, eh? Landing is in Birmingham, where I take a train to London, then to Sheffield.

My name on an airline would not look as good as yours. Walker. Sounds grounded. http://www.clicksmilies.com/s1106/sport/sport-smiley-009.gif :D

Outstanding post imo! :)

Are you really coming to Birmingham tomorrow Asad? Wow - that's cool! Are you coming in with Emirates? What brings you to Sheffield? I'll be able to see your approach from my living room window if I am home

TIP: Bring some warm clothes with you - daytime temperature didn't get much above 0 degrees Celcius today. Cold and wet.

Thanks for the comments guys!

Love the epic narrative with the shots. Nice work, AC. Sporty livery as well.

Great shots Andrew. Might I suggest Ai Separation to handle your heavy AI traffic? Great little tool that spaces out the other arriving flights and avoids Go Arounds.

Cheers mate. Living in Saudi and Pakistan I've never really paid any attention to warm clothes. :p

The flight is a connecting one, an Emirates or a Gulf Air, I believe. It was all done in a hurry so I'm not too sure. As for Sheffield, my mum works there. :)

Very nice shots, Andrew. Pictures are very busy and I like that. Lots to look at. The go-around picture is just terrific!

Thanks for the comments :D

I am running AI separation as far as I can remember - I was just slow leaving the runway - too busy taking shots!!

But, do you want to take a guess as to who was in that Southwest 737? HUH? Yes, it was ME!!!! PAH!! You can make it up to me at the bar. Or on the beach if you introduce me to some lady friends. :D.

Great post mate!!!! :)

How can you tell FS9 screenshots from FSX screenshots?

I usually look at either the ground textures from the aerial shots or even better, the water textures. That's a dead giveaway right there.
