IADG have announced that they have permantly closed their site,
what is going on within the fltsim designing community?
For me,they will be greatly missed!

I still cannot figure out why they left FlightSim.com to begin with!

When one considers the state of the internet (bad shape) it's not easy to find a FREE host willing to absorb the substantial cost of bandwidth for product downloads.

Who knows what happened?

By reading between the lines, I think that you will see IADG return to the arena as a payware group. Their products have been very good and they probably could do it, and be successful. I guess more and more producers of freeware are starting to realize how hard it is to stay on the cutting edge, and decided that there has to be some compensation for all the hard work, besides the fuzzy warm feelings. The piracy issue is another factor as the pirates see freeware as easy pickin's, but are afraid of messing with payware companies.

BTW. Speaking of pirates, did you ever find out anything about the sleeze ball that was packaging and selling your DF-FSD Cessna, along with some other freeware, on E-Bay?

If the price is right and the quality is good, as with Dreamfleet,PSS,Abacus and the 767PIC products, I don't think anyone minds paying for them.
Who would not prefer to own one DF737 over one hundred freeware models/panel? You get what you pay for...
Besides, maybe then the authors/artists of these fine products can hire attorneys to go after the scum that rips them off!


Get involved in government----contact your representatives and demand software piracy/hacking/virus writing laws be enforced!!!
