Hi folks,
I have been away from FS for quit a while now and wanted to get back into it.
Here is what I have;
PFC-Jetliner counsel
PFC-Jetliner yoke and rudders.
A computer built specificaly for me to run Flt sim.

Here is what I don't have...
Good working knowledge of computers( I depend on the wife for that) to help me solve anything but the simplist issues.
Nor have a developed a good working of Flt sim like most of you have, so...
Please help, I would greatly appreciate it.

My problem, I can't get the heading bug on the default 737-400 (or Level-D 767) to work properly. It will jump around or change only a few degree's so that trying to set a heading is impossible and makes flying on A/P impossible as well.
I thought that I had read many years ago that this was something that could be fixed by a FSIUPC setting but, i can't seem to find it..
I have also looked in P.Dawsons page but have not found any help or ref to this problem either ( I thought this is where I read about it years ago?)
I do have a paid FSIUPC also.
I really only want to just fly inst approaches in the sim but am totally unable.
Can someone please help with a solution?
I do fly a 747 all over the world in real life so, at least I know how things should work , I won't need help with that(maybe:D)
Also, I live in FLA, if anyone is living here, I could gladly call or give my number.
Regards,
Mickey.

mickey757,

Would you like to be a free guinea pig for the upcoming FS Flight Training online instruction business? I'm dead certain that I can solve your problems by remotely sharing your computer with you, this weekend if you like. If you want to discuss it further, kindly email me as mike@pcgamecontrols.com (FYI, FS Flight Training is a joint venture of my PC Game Controls company and FlightSim.com)

In the meantime, for troubleshooting purposes try defeating FSUIPC by renaming FSUIPC4.dll, which is located in the Modules folder of your FSX root directory. In other words, what you should rename is ...

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Modules\FSUIPC4.dll

For technical reasons kindly change its name to dllFSUIPC4.xxx so you'll know later what you did. (There are an infinite number of ways to rename it but some of them won't work. If you do it my way nothing will go wrong.)

Do let me know,

lnuss

CTRL-SHIFT-H will set the +/- (plus and minus keys) to adjust heading one degree at a time. CTRL-TAB will set the +/- back to controlling zoom level.
