I hope you don't mind me singling you out but another gentleman who I spoke to in the forum advised me that you were the man to ask so I'm asking, oh high and exaulted mystic ruler. I just installed FS2002 Pro Ed. a few days ago and it's running pretty shabby. I'm using a Compaq Presario 705US Notebook. (Yes I know they're not meant for games but it's state of the art for a laptop) 20 MB HD, 1 GH Processor, 240 MB RAM and an S3 Graphics Twister K Compaq video card. Knowing this, are there any suggestions you could offer in order to improve my performance. The skins on my aircraft (exterior) are either all silver or half-silver, the clouds don't look anything like some of the screenshots I've seen. They're only semi-realistic even at full setting. I often freeze up even before taxiing...I notice that when I tweak one thing it often carries over negatively to another effect. With the hardware I have could you make any suggestions on how I should set up my defaults? I sure would appreciate it. And one other thing...just because I know that at this very moment you feel needed.... *s* I downloaded a couple other aircraft and copied and pasted them into my aircrafts folder under Program Files/FS2002/Aircrafts...Am I supposed to do something else because when I tried to access them a screen popped up saying that the program wasn't going to let me use them. Thanks alot for your help...(if you see this) I really do appreciate it. Input from anyone who reads this would be most welcome but Capn Slarty was singled out to me as being the Wizard of Oz so I ask you sir. LOL..Thanks again. USMarineVetNJ...Dave

the problems you describe are related to the graphics device and driver, try different drivers (if available) and settings, apart from that you are out of luck :-(
regarding the install of addons... there is usually a readme file.. it is worth doing just what it says ;-)
