Hiya,
I bought the justflight 172 as a replacment for the default one, and it's obviously a lot better. I'd like to make it the default plane if possible. Is it and how do you do it?

Set up the conditions you want for the default flight (aircraft, location), then save the flight. When you save the flight (or when you load one) there's a checkbox to make it the default flight. FS should start up with that.

What exactly makes the Flight1 Cessna better than the default? I'm new to all this and I'm looking for the best addons.
I am newb but I just made my first night flight in the dark, stormy weather, realism on full (except engine damage and airframe stress) from Launceston to Devonport, yay me! Now that I have the hang of it I'd like to start adding in things like terrain and better basic aircraft.
Cheers :)

I don't have that aircraft myself, but by all reports, the flight model is better and it looks good, as well. Those who have the aircraft might be able to shed more light on the subject.

Flight model is far better, panel is (of course) much more realistic, and the external and internal modelling is just great.

I found it was like flying a different aircraft, one that you have to be a bit gentler and controlled with, but it's still reletively easy to fly. It looks and feels much, much better.

It is different. Much more like a real 172 (though when making that comparison it should always be kept in mind that F1 and Microsoft modelled different variants with different engine power and other characteristics).
