I have just bought the Acceleration pack, but can't find the 2D cockpit in any of the 3 aircraft that's included in this packet. I can only find the VC cockpit.
I can also only find the GPS (shift+3), nothing more.
Is this how it should be with the acceleration pack ??

Yep, that's it.
The file library here has a panel for the mustang and probably the other planes too.
I use a second monitor for the panels, so I need 2d panels for all the planes I fly.

Hi,
Yes the Acceleration planes only have VC cockpits. So GPS is shift+3.

I find it pretty hard to use the gauges in VC view. I already miss the 2D cockpit.

As r0g3r5 said, go to the file library and look for the panels. The P-51 was excellent and very usable. The same creator of that panel also made one for the fighter jet although I never downloaded that one because I scrubbed the Xpack. But if it is as good as the P-51 you'll be happy with it.

What size monitor do you have? I run 19in LCD and the VC's are gorgeous!

I found that it pretty much depends on the plane you are flying: if I fly with any of the deafult aircraft, it usually is no problem to use the VC. However, when I used Samdim Design's AN-24, i switched to the 2D, because I couldn't read the gauges well, and I tend to use 2D panel bits for different things, like the captain Sim 757: I bring up the A/P 2D panel because I found it too hard to handle in the VC. For a long time I switched to the 2D panel in the default Boeing 737, just to alter A/P settings. For the rest, though, the VC usually went quite allright.

I use the VC regularly and did not notice that the 2-Ds were excluded. Talk about taking things for granted.
