Hello gentlemen (and gentlewomen!!)

Just a quickie ;-) , has anyone got a suggestion as to where I may find a GOOD soundset for the Supermarine Spitfire (preferably from the wonderful Mr Mike Hambly)?
And if not....WHY NOT...J/K!! If not, can I use a soundset that was originally designed for CFS2? I found one, but it's 6meg, and I would be a bit miffed waiting for a download that didn't work ;-) .

I did try to use the Corsair sound....but it 'aint no Rolls Royce Merlin, know what I mean?

Thanks guys, any suggestions would be appreciated.....

LAST EDITED ON Apr-12-02 AT 06:42PM (EDT)[p]Thanks for the overwhelming response....as usual ;-)

Found one for the P-51 (it used the merlin engine from quite early on, because the Americans can't build an engine that does any more than 3 gallons per mile... JOKE!!!)
If anyone is interested, this is the file : p51vsnz.zip by Aaron R. Swindle (another genius, may I add).

Happy flying, and it was a joke about Americans not making good engines...it's just the cars that are sh**e. hehe.

I'd think Mike Hambly would have released a set at one point or another. Isn't he ex-RAF? For shame, if not! -- I'm kidding, of course, Mike. You too are a genius!

Okay, I admit it, even I got tired of my sig file.

For a set of Mike Hambly R/R-Merlin sounds...

Go here to Marc Seigel's site:
http://members.aol.com/Cryingtoto/pricipale/00.htm
Click onto the "Atelier" link (or run the whole site through a translator bot if your French-reading skills are as bad as mine).

You'll find a very nice sound pack AND an ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS gmax SeaFire MkIII available in both CFS2 and FS2002 versions.
The sounds are in a self-installer...but if you are leery of them, it is easily fooled into dumping the files into a temp folder of your choice.

Oh...and yes, CFS2 soundpacks work just fine in FS2002. :-)
