Hi all

First time poster, and returning to the wonderful world of FSing after many years, so please be easy on my rustiness!

I installed FS2004 on Windows XP, which is running on a boot of my MacBook Pro laptop. FS2004 works fine after installing, and I can happily fly around and stuff, but the moment I began installing add-ons (Mainly Just Flight's 727 Professional, and Abacuses A380) I'm getting these incomprehensible errors whenever I start up FS2004. The first error is

The version of FS2004 detected is not compatible with this version of FSUIPC. It is build 9.01.40901....
You need the correct version of FS2004

Check the Help-About: the build should be 9.00.30612

FSUIPC will terminate when you select OK.

followed by...

Flight Simulator was unable to load some aircraft and software. You can continue using Flight simulator but this aircraft or software will be disabled.

File FSUIPC.dll

I've read in the FAQ something about a FSUIPC utility that I need to pay for, but don't quite understand what it's all about, and hoping someone could fill me in.

I'll uninstall the add-ons, and the same errors come up, consequently requiring me to reinstall FS2004 all over again. Any ideas what this error is?

Sincere thanks for anyone who can help! :)

FSUIPC is a very useful program. It allows programs to "communicate" with FS2004. You can do all sorts of things with FSUIPC. The unregistered version has limited functionality. To register you must pay. If FSUIPC is not working, try downloading the FS2004 update from Microsoft. That might fix it. It fixes some missing bridges, as well as other issues

Hi metroflyer,

The latest version of FSUIPC for FS2004 can be found here:

http://www.schiratti.com/dowson.html

Note that this page also provides a link to the FSX version of FSUIPC, so make sure you download the correct version (currently 3.80 for FS2004.)

Also note that some packages install an old version of FSUIPC, so after installation make sure that you still have version 3.80 installed.
