Greetings you special "Simmers"

I am steadily gliding along my learning curve and I have a problem. On a positive note I have replaced my 512 MB of Ram with 4 gigs.
My problem:
A while back I downloaded from "Simviation" a file called: "Glacier Bay Alaska (part-2) and extracted the file:
GLBayV2a. The moment that I tried to run it....I received a message telling me that this file needed the following file: Microsoft.Net Frameworks 2.0. I proceeded to download the required file from "Microsoft Downloads"
Now using "Win Zip" I tried extracting and obtained a file called:"dotnetfx.exe"along with a message saying thaqt the file is corrupt.
Q#1: who should I inform in terms of the corrupt file ?
Q#2: How do I solve my problem ? and get to install GLBayV2a.

Try letting XP extract it... If that doesn't work, delete the archive and download again.

Hi CPS Bruce
Thank you for the suggestion, I will give it a try.

Not always, but sometimes a file will corrupt if your Anti Virus is on. This happened to e once, when I unzipped the files, ther were some missing. Not sure why. I re-downloaded, with the AV disabled, and the files were intact.

Just a thought.

If the Glacier package is the one by Holger Sandmann and friends, be aware that it is a two part package and you must have both parts in order for it all to display as intended.

Brilliant work as you will see if all goes well.

You do not need to extract dotnetfx.exe. The .exe shows that this is a program file and simply double clicking on it will extract and run it all by itself, no unzipping required by yoursef. You may get a message saying something about it or some component of it needing extraction but you can ignore this.
