How to ensure that aircraft imported to FSX from another source, i.e. FS2004 show the picture of that aircraft in the FSX Select List of pictured aircraft available?
Thanks

You need to make a .jpg picture, size it to 256x??? name it thumbnail.jpg and put in in the texture folder.
I usually a picture that come with the zip archive the texture came it. Or make one of your own. I use paint shop for all that stuff.
I hope that answers your question..

If you do not have a thumbnail in the proper size and format you will get a default question mark in the aircraft menu.
Someone on this forum turned me on to a program that will automaticaly make the proper thumbnail with what ever view you select. The file name is Autothumbnail2.zip. It is listed on this site. You just load up the aircraft in the view you want, go into the menu bar and it will be listed under addons, then make your selections and in 10 secs, that view will be shown under the aircraft.
Hope that helps yyou,
George

Look for autothumbnail2.zip
It will take a screenshot and turn it into a thumbnail for your aircraft automatically, all from within FSX.
