I'm running FS9 on Windows Vista/SP1 .NET Framework ver 2 and ver 3. I've put FSUIP.dll in the FS9 modules folder and it now shows up in FS9 menu (after I press Alt key). If I select it my screen goes black. The mouse cursor only shows in the middle third of the screen. If I move beyond that area the cursor disappears. I installed AI Smooth but nothing shows after I start FS9 and FSUIP. How do I use FSUIP and AI Smooth?

For FSUIPC use Pete Dowsons support forum http://forums.simflight.com/viewforum.php?f=54

What do you mean by "nothing shows" after you installed AISmooth. What are you expecting to see ?

The AISmooth Manual states that it can be started and stopped while the simulator is running. I don't see any selection for it in the menu bar so I assumed it could be reached via the modules menu item, but obviously that doesn't work. I've since found that you have to Alt-Tab out of FS9 to see the AISmooth window display of traffic.

I still have a question on what is supposed to happen when you double click on FSUIP in the modules menu? If I'm not suppose to select it, why is it available on the menu bar?

A small FSUIPC window opens. With the unregistered version there are just a few buttons. With the registered version there are option tabs. A blank window means that there is a conflict between Vista, your video driver, FS, and FSUIPC.

Ok. I cant help you with the FSUIPC not showing when you select it from the FS9 modules menu. i dont run vista, and I suggest you ask in the FSUIPC forum.

With AISmooth you launch it by double clicking the program icon itself.....from within the modules folder (note..... folder). Do this before you start FS9. Once it is launched and you have set your initial settings you dont need to touch it.
