I'm a newbie, who has spent hours on a clunky Gateway PC flying many missions to obtain Flightsim X certifications. However, when "good old" Norton anti-virus popped up a message, the interruption caused the loss of all my missions.
I know the files have to be somewhere, but how can I access them again?
Help?

Hi,
Search your system for grantedrewards.bin

There is general agreement that Norton AV often does more harm than good. I personally recommend Free AVG (freeware) even though I also have used Kaspersky (payware).
As you will learn from other threads in this forum, I personally evicted both Symantec and McAfee from all of my computers more than a year ago. Whatever AV you use should be supplemented by a good anti-spyware program like the freeware SpyBot.
There is debate about which tools to use, but not about the need to use them, other than regarding registry cleaners.
