Hello all Flight Simmers!!!

I am having a huge problem upgrading my pc to win98SE could someone please
direct give me some help?!?!?!

I just purchased Win98SE. I bought the full version software option. The past
three years I used Win95 OSR2 on the same pc with absolutely no problems. (MY
pc crashed maybe twice a year if that.)
Maybe I should also mention that I upgraded to 98 because I wanted to buy and
use FlightSim 2002.
Anyway, I installed win 98 SE and I ran into a whole lot of problems. Here they
are:
My pc crashes every 30 mins or so.
I installed the latest drivers I could find on the internet for my video card,
sound card and CH Virtual pilot pro joystick. My PC still crashes.
My motherboard uses the SIS 5600 chipset.
The CPU is a 400MHZ Intel PII Slot 1. 160meg of PC100 mem is installed.

Here are my problems:

1. My video card is an ATI Rage 128 AGP. I tried to install DirectX 7.0A
(worked fine under Win95) and also DirectX 8.0. Both version had the AGP
acceleration disabled under 98(It was enabled under Win95 OSRII).

2. My CH Virtual Pilot Pro w/pedals is not fully functional. The throttle and
the pedals do not have full movement. (The yoke appears to be normal).
According to CH this is a Microsoft bug. (The joystick drivers were updated to
the latest releases as well as the CH drivers. The Sound card is a PCI card
made by SIIG and uses the Trident chipset).

3. I cannot install Microsoft Flight Sim 2000. (Again this works fine under
Windows 95). The installation program crashes while indexing the sceenery
files. (I tried to reinstall three times.) I am getting general protection
faults.

4. After installing all the above updated drivers my pc still crases every 30
mins or so.

I cannot find any updated drivers on the Microsoft web site. I tried to search
the knowledge base as well as going through the automated win98 update.

Please help! I just paid more than $100.00 for Win98 SE and it is unusable!!!!

Please respond to my e-mail directly.
