I recently installed FS2k on my Compaq laptop (XP operating system). I've had
no difficulties using the default aircraft...When I attempt to initially fly an
add-on aircraft I receive an error msg (FS2k)of "visual model could not be
displayed." While flying one of the default aircraft, I've been able to access
the add-on aircraft; they operate fine other than the fact that they don't show
up in the spot plane mode (XP stealth!?). Even though I've had LOTS of
compatibility issues running other programs in XP, my belief (at this point)is
that it's an XP vs. add-on, rather than XP vs. FS2k compatibility problem. I'm
attempting to troubleshoot the issue from this angle. I've installed the FS2k
patch, XP updates, etc...Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly
appreciated.
