[quote:e495cd615b]I've renamed all of my add-on aircraft, by changing the title in aircraft.cfg
file.
My question is, where does FS get the aircraft name from because, although it
works with about 90% of my aircraft there are some which have a completely
different name, and I can't find a reference anywhere. An example is this:
File name: iba319.zip
Aircraft: Airbus A319
Re-titled name: Airbus A319-200 (Iberia)(iba319)
FS Name in listing: Airbus A319
Also, how does one get all the aircraft into FS groups?
many thanks, again.

Hi Joe. I have to laugh. For someone who's normally lucid (?) I can't believe
what I did just read then, see here? Listen up to what you did said, if you
knew what I did mean. You did say "On the in here is a banner at the top for
Flight Sim
.............". I think you've been on the vino. Like to run it by me again?
I really appreciate the help. Joe, but I don't know what you're talking about.
But take care anyway, and thank you, Joe.
Allan
Ok......... I just spent 3 weeks in the hospital, flat on my back, I set here
too long at the keyboard, I get lightheaded!
Go back to the main menu and go to the FS2002 forum, as you go in you'll see a
banner at the top for "The FlightSimmers Veterens" tips and hints sheet.
All kinds of stuff in there.
Joe W.
Since this is the FS2000 forum, is it appropriate to issue hints and tips
relevant to FS2002 or is Alan really flying 2002 instead of 2000!
Hope your stay in the hospital wasn't too serious, although three weeks doesn't
make it sound like you just didn't feel well! Sure hope you're all right now!
Art
In the origanil post he states that he " tryed FS2k2 and his computer wouldn't
handle it." he's also asking how to get FS2000 to run better. In my opinion, I
told him what he needs to for both sims. It's quite simple. He needs mo ram!
128 isn't enough!
Before someone jumps in my face about what he asked not being in this post, it
was in another post. The reason I refered him to the Vets banner was for the
tips and hints for FS2k2. Thats the only thing that the FS2k2 forum has going
for it. I very firmly hate that forum and will not go there!
Joe W.
Much like me, Joe. Unfortunately, I think we'll both have to move sooner rather
than later - 2000 forum's getting a little thin on the ground.
Maybe see you on the other side, eh?
Allan
Don't move too early, Allan - I'm getting the impression that the "old" folks
tend to return here more and more ... ;-)
Alex
You are not completely wrong Alex ;)
Lars
But it's not for the reason you think, Lars - it's just the format.
Alex
I didn't have any reason on mind Alex. But since you mention the format - i
have always liked this format better. I think it makes it's more personal!
I should perhaps be the last to say this, but the other side seems at the
moment to be "drowning" in messages from creative (young)? people who wants to
change everything and also those who prefer to ask rather than look up the
answer themselves in the tips-section. ;)
Cheers
Lars
Well, Lars, I believe that this is also a consequence of the "new" format. If
only Nels would thaink about this ...

Well, at present it's a question of time.I'm just back from two weeks of hard
working (about 13 hours a day) in eastern Germany and I'll have to go there
again for about the same period at the end of this week. I hardly succeed in
keeping up with the newest downloads and my email inbox is full of messages to
be answered ...
I've got to establish priorities and this forum is still my first adress. But
be assured, you (and the other guys) will still hear from me. And I certainly
have not forgotten our meeting at Brussels which I'm looking forward too.
All the best, Lars, and I'll do what I can to stay inside our "family" ...
