Hello all,
Wondering if anyone in the know can explain this to me. Night missions are
possible if the clock on the panel is reset to an appropriate time, however I
have been unable to adjust the clock itself on default panels. I had to settle
for setting dusk and then adjusting sim rate as high as possible (4x) and
waiting....until true darkness fell.
Using a third party panel with an adjustable clock would allow setting up such
a situation but on starting a new flight, would the program not default back to
dusk? Would I therefore have to replace each panel with one including an
adjustable clock?
I am sure there must be a way around this. Can anyone shed light on this snag?
regards, and many thanks to all contributors to the forum, I have picked up a
lot of valuable data to assist in coming up to speed on the sim as quickly as
possible through the tribulations of those who have gone before.

Just speculation on my part, but fighter intercepts at night were almost
non-existant in the early part of the war and only became practical with the
advent of improved radar and ground-control intercepts from about 1943 on. This
is probably why night missions are not readily available in CFS.
It would be interesting to have ground control vector you on the tail of a
bogey in the game. Perhaps a future upgrade from Redmond? I wouldn't hold my
breath, though.
