I've just picked up and hooked up this new joystick, compared to the cheapo I
was using I love it. I've now doubt I'll now give u boys a run for your money
in multiplayer {:o). Using the profiler that comes with the Precesion Pro I
can program all eight buttons no prob, it works, no prob. But, It does not
however allow me any options with the throttle dial, stick twist or the hat
button. When I test these in windows properties it shows they are working
properly. Why then when I fire up CFS do I not have any of these controls even
though CFS says it will use these joystick commands. Please help, very
frustrating not having three of the best features of this stick.
Everything should be assignable in settings/custom controls
Start by going to page 11 of the pilot's manual, particularly at the bottom of
the page.
hope this helps.

Youll have to get the game to Detect the new Joystick I've had the same problem
I belive it was done by stating the game and Holding the ctrl, and shift keys
down till the game starts fully you may have to do this twice the make sure
that the contrller you have is selected, under settings game controlers.
Or you could do it the eazy way and just reinstall the game.. :(
Hope I helped

All of the buttons and the rudder control and throttle axis can be assigned by
using the "Settings" menu and the "Customize Controls" option.
When you then click the "Assignments" tab you will be presented with a
scrollable list of all of the commands in the program. Scroll down to find the
one you want to be assigned. For instance, the rudder axis is about 2/3's down
the list. When you find it, highlight the block under "Device", click the
"Assign" button and move the "twist action" of the stick. That should do it.
The other features can be assigned or reassigned the same way.
If you had the stick installed before installing CFS, it would have assigned
most of these during the installation process. Bob F.

Make sure you have version 3.0 software of Sidewinder PP. Many are still be
sold with version 2.0 in the box. If it is 2.0, go to MS Sidewinder website and
download version 3.0 alex

I agree with the most recent response...I have a FF Precision Pro and had the
same problem with my games and got the new software and the stick works
wonderfully. Go to http://www.microsoft.com/sidewinder
