I live in San Diego and this morning saw an add by the local Fry's Electronics
for 29.99 without tax!I was wondering, does this sound fish to anyone
else?Also, I am running a P200MMX with a bad (2mb) vid card and 32 mb of
ram.What performance can I expect from CFS?Thanks

I paid $44.99 at Best Buy near Chicago...but note this: There is a $5.00
credit to your Master Card acct if you buy it with that card AND there is a
$10.00 rebate ($15.00 CDN) for previous users of Microsoft Flight Simulator --
see the box for details --- so if it was a tricky ad taking that into account,
the $29.99 would be right in the ballpark. -- Cloudy --

See if you can afford a 3D card. You can get the Monster I pretty
cheap now. From what I've heard around here (still waiting to get
my copy of CFS) a 3D card is *more* than helpful in CFS. Good luck!

I bought my CFS last night for $24.95 at the Micro Center in San Jose. I guess
some stores either got a real good deal from Microsoft (if that's possible!) or
else the stores sell it as a loss leader.

Thge Fry's in Wilsonville, OR, definitely DOES have CFS for $29.99 without
gimmicks.

You can expect lousy performance on a 200MMX with anything less than a Voodoo2
or TNT card and 64M SDRAM. At least, that's my personal experience. Your
mileage etc....
