i'm just wandering.....is CFS really worth 50 bucks???? i'm 12 years old and
i'm thinking of asking my dad for it....but is it worth it? my dad spends
hundreds of dollars for my games and i just want to know how good CFS really
is! i don't want my dad spending too much $$$$ for my pc. any suggestions??
It kind of depends on what you like, Mariano. Remember, this is primarily
a World War II combat simulation, which means 1940's style aircraft and
tactics. Some people like that kind of thing while others like more modern
planes with missiles, fancy instrumentation and so on.
I'm not much of a combat sim expert but I've enjoyed it so far. It will run
even on a relatively slow computer like my (100 MHz Pentium) but you need a
3Dfx card like the Monster Card to really enjoy the graphics.
One consideration: because this sim is compatible with earlier Microsoft
sims it has more outside support than probably any other combat sim available.
There's an almost unlimited supply of airplanes and scenery you can add to it.
Plus, I suspect that hobby programmers will figure out how to add to it as
they have done with Microsoft Flight Sim 98 so who knows what we might see in
a few months?
Remember, the sim just came out so not many people have had a chance to try
it yet, but I suspect it's going to be a very popular one.
