Hi, folks!
After waiting with baited breath and much anticipation for MSCFS to hit the
store shelves, I got my copy on Oct. 31st - luckily, no installation glitches
as I've been reading about!
After installing it and running it several times, changing the graphics and
scenery settings to get frame rates up to a useable level, I've come to the
conclusion that it's just not a useable/flyable simulation at this point. Sad
to say that my Pentium 233/16 Meg RAM, 24X CD, etc. apparently just isn't beefy
enough to get some decent frame rates above 6-10 fps!! FS98 runs beautifully
and I get some fast frame rates, but CFS apparently needs to go back to the
drawing boards to increase it's frame rates so that it can become a
USEABLE/FLYABLE product!
Sorry to say Microsoft, you were too quick to get the product out instead of
getting all of the bugs out of it first! :(
