1.) Would you,if it were made possible to do,book your vacations and or travel
arrangements here at the site if you were given great rates and discounts?
2.) If you are a business owner would you use an advertiser at this site to
book any conventions or meetings if it were made possible, with exceptional
prices and ease of booking?
Be honest and not sarcastic. I am trying to put together an ad campaign for
the site and want your input. This will allow easier access by allowing the
site to expand as far as band width, etc. It,if I proceed with this campaign
will allow you to book hotels at some favorite or new cities for you to visit
around the country(U.S.) as the advertisers come on board. It would definately
be one stop shopping for all your needs(with a little luck and a ton of work)
SO....I need your input as to if you would,if you are planning to travel to
other cities use an ad from an advertiser here at the site to book your room or
make a reservation with a direct connection to their site from here.

Hello, Mutt,
I know some of the younger guys here at the office use the net for such
bookings. I occasionally check out travel or destinations on the net, but I'm
traditional enough that I tend to use the telephone for actual bookings.

The last 4 flights I took, and last 2 hotels I stayed at were all done
through use of online services, so in answer to the question you pose is yes.
As long as they're where I need to go, that is.

Hi Mutt,
In principle, yes. Its a while since I planned (or took) a foreign holiday, and
this was pre-Internet, but if the destination was right I'd have no qualms
about such a facility. Especially if there was a reduction in the 50% Single
Person Suppliment !

Hi Mutt,
Sounds like a good idea for those living in the US or even the Northern
Hemisphere, as Internet travel bookings are widely used, and if good enough
savings were offered I can't see why it wouldn't be successful - provided you
reached a big enough audience. For those of us living here in Australia,
overseas travel has become very expensive as the Aussie dollar is rather weak.
Great for our exports but no good for overseas travel. I have been to the UK
(1993 & 1997) Europe (1993), Scandinavia (1997) and Singapore (1990), and would
love to go to North America, but my oil well isn't deep enough. The only place
(overseas) we can go at the moment is New Zealand, as their dollar is even
worse than ours, so that's where I'm off to next month. My wife has just
retired and I only work part time so we are going to travel as much as the
finances will allow. We have also just bought a caravan and plan on seeing more
of this huge country of ours. Only problem is I don't have a lap top so FS will
have to go on the back burner when we're away.
Cheers,
Peter.

If I was to travel in the US or if the site was to offer at other countries

Hin Peter,
Outback travel has changed a lot since we were young. Today, the first part of
a backpacker's armoury (and backpackers are EVERYWHERE up north) is an email
address. Wherever they leave messages, whether it be to get a lift somewhere,
sell buy or swap something, find a travelling companion, seeking the latest
travel conditions, etc. they nearly always request a response to an email
address. The advantage is that anyone can leave a message at any time, and
don't need to sit by a phone waiting in hope. So, you can be sure that any town
in which backpackers rests their head, email access is not too far away. It
might be big and remote up there, but communications are as good as in any
major city.

Hi John.
I'm sure you're right. I haven't been any further west in Queensland than Dalby
in the last 30 odd years, although I have been up to Townsville and Cairns
within the last 18 months. I was also in Lightning Ridge towards the end of
2000. However, none of these places qualify as remote, far from it, as Dalby
and the Ridge are more than villages, and Townsville and Cairns are quite large
cities. I visited Hughenden in 1968, but things have changed dramatically since
then. Notwithstanding any of the above, I will certainly keep in touch by
e-mail periodically, and get my fix of Flightsim.com.
Thanks for your comments,
Peter.
