Well I now have fs2002 Pro and I am so impressed that I deleted fs98 from my
drive..yes a proper funeral arrangement was done and it was off to the computer

reseller for the the program and "FSglobal upgrade" by pilots software with it.

Thanks to all of my fellow sim pilots who have given me loads of advice
directly and indirectly by reading these posts. Thanks to all the freeware
authors who have made my last four years in this hobby such great fun. So it is

on to another 4 years of fun..thats if fs2004 comes out buggy like fs2000..;-).

I still love the fact I can fly the aircraft in the virtual world that i used
to watch fly over my head as a child. And see the world (virtually) as they
did. I imagine I will see some of you all in the fs2002 forms..but in case I do

Hey Bill.....just cause ya upgraded doesn't mean ya gotta be antisocial.
Like I told Izzy, this could be the "stealth" FS2K2 forum or ya can just stop by
for coffee and donuts and chew the rag a little just to say Hi and stay in
touch. There ain't no barriers stoppin ya except the ones you put up.

Hello, Mutt and other FS98 Forum friends,
Yeah. Me too. I've installed FS2002 and love it on my Dell T-600. I'm in the
process of retuning all my old crates there. The seaplanes are really neat.
I've been following the FS2002 Forum and, especially, the Old Veterans link.
But this forum and Aircraft Building remain my two favorites.
Like you said, the surroundings (and the people) are good.

Hi,

That's exactly what I do. I fly 2K2 but pop in here for a good read and
sometimes a chat as well. I don't bother now with the 'official' 2K2 forum
(they're far too busy for me to keep up with the posts). My usual forum is the
Flight Sim Veterans Club forum where they are a really friendly bunch of
people. No one gets laughed at or scorned unless they ask for something illegal
(like 'Pro' aircraft for their standard 2K2).
Have the best of all worlds!

Cheers,
Keith.

You do have a point, I also like the idea of a "stealth fs2k2" form... Did I
mention that i am running my fs2002 pro on a p-II 350mhz machine with 256k SD
ram, full install, running Windows ME, the only upgrading I did was buy a
GeForce card 32mb, for 70 dollar cdn. I had a voodoo Banshee card but it was
starting to act up in fs98. It might have been heat issues as my p-II is in an
AT case. Pretty basic for fs2002 but alright for fs98.. Yes, the sliders are
pretty well to the left side of the scale in fs2002, but I do a 14fpm rate and
it is still an improvement over fs98...I bet I would not have gotten away with
that set in fs2000..hee hee..sorry had to take a shot at fs2000. I will drop
buy from time to time, its kinda like your old home town...take care Bill

Hey guys, I've got FS2k2 pro too, and I have no intention of deleting FS98 or
leaving this forum either. I have spent too much time and effort building up my
FS98 folder to where it is now to throw it all away, and besides, this forum is
much more social, they're far too serious on the other one and some of them
spend too much time slagging each other off. I really like FS2k2, but I have
struck a few problems such as system crashing, but so have a lot of others.
Maybe it's hardware related, or perhaps it's just good ole Microsoft running
true to form.

Peter.
