View Full Version : New Dallas scenery?

I see that a few people still post messages here. As old as FS4 is, I still
play it occasionally even though flight sims have come a LONG way since then.
I'm from Dallas and just started a scenery project for the North Texas area,
you know, a spare time hobby when I'm not flying FS2000 on my Athlon 850. :) Is
there still any interest in designing scenery with ASD, and maybe seeing a
detailed Dallas scenery with all the newest highways, airport, and nav data?
ASD is easier to use for placing a large amount of roads than anything I've
found in the newer sims, and I'd like to put in a lot of accurately placed
streets (no annoying generic textures like in FS2000), as well as buildings,
radio towers, lakes, etc. Also, do lines or actual ASD roads look better to
simulate streets? Lines are a lot neater and don't produce a jagged flickering
effect when flying, but roads give a better idea of the size and type of street
being simulated. Any ideas are appreciated. Thanks!
