Has anybody successfully imported ANY Fokker 50 created by Rob Bennis? If I try to use them "outta the box" I get an error from FS2k2 concerning the model file. If I repair the mdl file in question using the utility MDL Repair, FS2k2 accepts it, but the props won't spin when the engines are running.
I e-mailed Rob, but haven't heard from him.

You know, I did once. It was F-50 in Avianca Colombia liveries. It does, it works, though while airborn it is pretty nervous. Something should be changed in config. file, I guess. Nick

Had all sorts of problems with F27s and F50s, I've moved onto to other things for now, but if anyone has managed to get a happy working setup for these, let us know!!

I imported the F50 you mean, in KLM livery, got the same error msg but after using mdrepair it works fine, including animation of the propellors, which I must say looks very nice when you start the engines.

You guys seem to be the only ones tlking about the F50, so I'll ask here. Has anyone found a good FS2002 F50 which will work with the [F50 Panel Project] panel. So far, I've found an Aer Lingus, which works ok, the Rob Bennis A/C worked, but I couldnt get the flaps to work. The props did spin though. Just like to find one AC to go with this newly found panel.

Did you do anything special to that Aer Lingus Fokker?
I downloaded one (it was the only one I could find) from flightsim.com and I get the same serious lack of activity (props stopped, refuse to start and then the sim tries to quit me back to the main menu).
All I did was mdl repair it, dump the thing on the runway and attempt to go....no joy. I have never met an aircraft more reluctant to fly :D
I'm trying to fly exotic Russian Tupolevs and making my Tristars shiny instead at the mo, but I'm sure I'll get the Fokker in the end.

I ran it through WBC, messed around with the weight. That's all I've done.

Hey, guess what..? I have never released an F50 air file for FS2002... and my air files never worked with Rob Bennis's models in FS2000 either, without a LOT of work.
And Rob Bennis has never released a F50 model for FS2002.
So what you have there are `warmed over` FS2000 models with incorrect air files...
So it doesn't surprise me in the slightest that there are problems.
Also Espen Oijordsbakken's F50 panel will not work successfully in FS2002. There are gauge issues which cannot be resolved at this time and the alternative air files I created for use with that panel SPECIFICALLY will not work with FS2002. Once Espen has completed his commmercial pilots training in the US we hope to get together to introduce a new version, but that's speculative at the moment.
