I am having quite a problem trying to descend to any airport. For some
reason I can not "dive" by moving the control stick down. It will not go
any further than the mid-point (level flight) on the control stick. I can
reduce engines to 10%, have my flaps up, and try to descend to the runway
at 5,000 feet from ten miles out and I will still fly over the top of it.
The only way I have been able to lose any amount of altitude is to make
wild turns back and forth in front of the runway. But, this eventually
leads to me crashing. It also does not matter what aircraft I am flying,
from a 747 to a DC-3, or just the cessna. Does anybody know what is
happening and how I can fix it?

Bummer. This is a long-shot answer, but have you checked to make sure your
Trim Control isn't set really high. It's adjusted by keyboard 7 = down,
1 = up. There's an instrument display showing its status.
On most planes, they'll cruise level at 3/4 throttle with little if
any trim. But I believe FS starts things biased toward "up" (to help
new simmers get started?). Hope this helps. -- Dennis S, FSEngEd@AOL.COM
