I have been running fltsim 5.1 on windows for about two years with no problem.

All of a suden when I start program I get an error message, " The
performance booster cache directory not found. Booster will be ignored.
The cd rom is working with everything else and I have cleaned disk.
The fs5 folder is labelled fs5 instead of fltsim5. Could that nake a
difference? Any help in how to solve this would be most appreciated.

Jim, it sounds like you've somehow damaged your fs5\cache\xxxxcach directory
for the area where you're flying. It should contain \scenery and \texture
subdirectories, and files booster and bstinfo. I damaged mine once, and
fixed it by re-installing (I was messing about trying to cache scenery off
my fs98 CD into fs5 at the time). Good luck.

Jim,

If you changed the name of the directory your cache is in FS won't find
it. Your WORLD.VIS file still looks for it in the old directory. You
can go into the scenery manager and edit the cd-rom booster section to
reflect the new location.

Hi Jim,
When I started playing around with AirMod and PanelMod I corrupted my FS system
so many times that I just did a second install so all I had to do was copy the
files over to the working directory. Advantage?... you don't have to re-install
all of your mods every time
