Posted this yesterday but think it got dropped in the "blackout".
I upgraded from a GeForce 3 to the PNY GeForce 4 Ti 4400 (for reasons other than just FS). Downloaded the 28.32 drivers and everything seems fine except I no longer have 1600 x 1200 x 32 as a resolution option in FS2002 now (had it with the GeForce 3, but now I only have 16-bit at 1600 x 1200 as an option in FS2002). The driver update defaulted both my monitor and card to 65 refresh rate. I've tried manually setting both to everything allowed up to 100 refresh, but no change. I know my monitor supports it because I can still do it in other sims like Nascar 2002.
Any ideas why I lost the 1600 x 1200 32-bit option in FS2002?
Thanks for any assistance.

I don't know what to tell you except I have that card...128mb ddr mem is awesome, anyway when I first installed it I put detonatror 28.32 on and it went straight back to the one on win xp. you might try rolling back the driver and installing...couldn't hurt...
On a side note are you liking the card???what kind of fps are you getting??

Can't complain about it at all. I'm running a P4 2.0 Ghz w/512 mb, and with all sliders maxed out (everything! including anti-aliasing checked) I get 25fps at default Meigs both day/night (I have the slider set to max fps at 25). At KLAX with a full California state terrain mesh installed, I get 18-20 fps, even using the DF737. Even that is smooth the way FS2002 displays.
The resolution question I posted has me stumped. I went back through all the previous posts I could find, but haven't seen anything like it. I still have 1600 x 1200 32-bit in everything else I run, but it just disappeared as a option in FS2002 after I installed the 28.32 drivers. I even followed Simon's recommendation and made sure I deleted all reference to the previous Nvidia files in the Windows System folder and had the VGA drivers loaded first. I dunno what the heck is happening. I've dropped down to 1200 x 960 x 32 in FS2002 until I can figure it out because that is the highest resolution 32-bit mode that shows up in my FS2002 graphics options now.
As far as frame rates in other sims, it's incredible. I run Nascar Racing 2002, and with the GeForce 3 I was getting around 18fps with all graphics options maxed. That was choppy and caused driving problems in traffic. With the GeForce4 Ti 4400, in 1600 x 1200 32-bit it went up to over 30fps in traffic, and minimum 50fps at all other times, without even stuttering. I love this card (yeah, the 2 Ghz and 512mb play a big role too, but I already HAD them before, so...).
Thanks for the response.

Have you tried the detonator 28.32 "modified with support Nvidia refresh rate fix" drivers? I don't have your problem, so I haven't tried them...they're at guru3d:

Go to videocard drivers, then Nvidia detonator drivers and look for the name. Again, I have no idea if this will fix your problem, but it may be worth a shot.

Hey, we are getting closer, but I'm beginnig to think my FS2K2 might be possessed by gremlins! ;-)
I downloaded and installed the XP modified 28.32 drivers you recommended above. Now I have 1600 x 1024 x 32 as my highest 32-bit resolution allowed in FS2K2. Elongates the guages in Virtual Cockpit view at that resolution, so I'm still running at 1200 x 960 x 32. Funny thing, though. My frame rates increased by about 2fps. Duh!
I'm SO confused! ;-)
