What gives here...I just climbed to 8000ft with a default 747 with 65% fuel from Megis...what is with the rocket launcher in my APU

Tonight I set up my first default 747 flight ..dowloaded a NZ\from ...well certainly not DF...tired of waiting for my AB
and said what the heck let's see what MS 02 is doing with the 747 ....and took off from JFK to London...rolled out after TO clearance and just beginning to get the feel of the roll look down and I am at 190 knots and have not hit 1/3 of JFK 31 ....747 with 65% fuel..well guess the kids love it.

What the H can I take off at Megis....did it with no problems
climbed to 8000 ft 65% fuel 747 really gentlemen...no way at
5 knots tail wind...set that up just to see.

YO 747 65% FUEL..give me a break

I know that the default heavy's have been posted to be hot wired
but this is silly ...

And people post how do you fly a jet...simple full throttle and
MS will take care of the rest.

Did you try Project Opensky's 747's? It takes those 747's a longer, more reasonable distance to take off. They are probably a lot more realistic, and hey, they have so many paint schemes available.

I was playing around in Meigs yesterday - I took off from it in the default 737. After having landed the 737 there, I thought, hey, what about a 747? I took off again in the 747 (like you did) from Meigs, flew a traffic pattern, and yes, I could land the 747 at Meigs... But while it wasn't completely realistic to land a 747 at Meigs, it was challenging all right! :-lol
