A good all around and *free* program is Gimp!. I believe you can download it
from the utilities library here at flightsim.com
Caution. if you're going to work with 256-colors for FS98, you need to keep to
the default palette. Otherwise, for FS2K, there's no problem.

Is there a program that will easily change a 24 bit aircraft texture to a 256
color texture?? Also, it needs to
alter the color palette to make the colors as close as possible after you
