Is there just the one small book in the software package, the one that sort of
walks you thru designing a paper airplane/small model? I ask, because usually
Abacus puts more into one of their packages, ASD has a large book to go with
it.
TD; The book is thin because there is no "right" way to design a plane in
FSFS/AF99. As projects get more detailed, its up to the designer to figure out
the best route to cure bleeds or complexity issues. This is why most of us
don't have to worry about haircuts. We tear out most of it during a project.{G}
You can try downloading some source files from here or freeflightdesign.com.
Look at each project from the 'bottom-up' {ie, don't concentrate on the
finished line drawing- look instead at each part, each component, then each
structure}. Its the easiest way to learn.
