A Sopwith 1 and a half Strutter *.air file should allow for the use of "dive
brakes"/spoilers....

Hi Mike,
You can change this easily with any .air editor program. Under AirEd, it is
315. Just set flap position to 4 or 5. This may not be realistic however. You
do not mention what type of plane you fly? If you want to fly a WWI biplane
with 7 flap positiions, you can ( if the file allows flaps at all, you have
more to edit if it does not).
Happy flying,
Bob

I have an aircraft that I downloaded that I love to fly. Unfortunately, it only

has one flap setting, full up, or full down, no in between! Gets interesting on

final.
Is there a way to edit this? Any programs available, etc.
Thx
Mike

I was thinking about adding provisions for JATO on my next Farman .air file?
That ought to allow for more bricks to be taken aloft on those short field
bases. Now they can toss them over 2 at a time. Headache.....

Actually, to my surprise, the Sopwith Strutter appears to have been the first
front line combat aircraft to use dive brakes. They are located in the lower
wings, rear root panels.

I modelled this visually in my two French Sopwith Strutters at the Pegasus site
(R Osborne *.air file)

What's next, putting the propeller between the front gunner and pilot? (Spad
A2)

Hello, Felix,
Been there; done that. Try the F8 key on my Spad A2 (here in the library).
By the way, in researching the A2, I saw a period photo with the most glum-
looking gunner, apparently pondering his eventual fate.
