Ok scenery program designer gurus. All the folks involed with Abacus did us
proud when FS2000 came out. They quickly came out with ASD 2.1 to make Airport
and Scenery Designer ® compatable with FS2K. Not to mention the upgrade from
2.0 to 2.1 was free for folks who purchased ASD 2.0. ( and still is )

Here's a couple of questions:

Since FS2002 will be similar to Combat Flight Simulator II ( ASD 2.1 makes
really nice scenery for CFS2 ), will Abacus be upgrading for users of FS2002?

And

Will we be able to read and import FS2002's *.bgl files with ASD 2.1?

Thanks,
Dan.

Dan, how could anyone respond with any knowledge since the sim isn't yet
released? I've seen quite of few posts like this one and I shake my head in
confusion. Bob B

Well Bob...

...maybe because some of the folks who are working on FS2002 are also working
on the add on programs that will quickly come after their release. You can bet
your last macro that companys like Abacus are looking into development of add
ons for FS2002 as you read this.
I, on the other hand, don't do either. So any information before hand is much
appreciated.

Dan.

Dear Dan:

The FS2000 coast polygons, roads, and rivers will not work in FS2002, we must
point to design the airports, macros, and make tests for paint ground textures
for the FS20002.

I advice to the ASD2.1 programmers make e tool to import the scb or the .DAT
coast lines to have a guide to paint accurate coastlines in aour custom bitmpas
to replace the default FS2002 coast bitmaps(CFS2 Style).

Thanks.
