Hello John,
You do not know me but I see that you have kindly offered help to
another novice at creating scenery so I venture to seek your aid.
I run FS98 and use Airport 2.6 to place static scenery for the
pleasure it gives me at barren and bleak airports in the UK.
I have had a measure of success but have a problem with my attempts
to bring a little life to London United Kingdom Stansted. After placing several
pieces of scenery successfully, the placing of an additional piece results in
the disappearance of the original FS98 Scenery - runways and buildings etc -
but with my additions still in place. So far this has only occurred at Stansted.
Do you have any ideas about, or solutions for, this vexing problem?
A reply would be very much appreciated even if it is "Give up old
man. Leave it to nimbler brains."
Thank your for your time.
One thing I found out is that you can raise and lower the layers to get your
other scenery back. I had the same problem when I created a scenery file to
include 2 Power Plants in the area, with it on top other scenery dissapeared
but when I lowered it to below the other scenery everything was there. I don't
know much about it myself so maybe someone with more experience can tell us
both how to do it right.
A problem I have is that when I made an airport I couldn't see the entire
runway just a few feet ahead while on the ground. I think it's the same issue.
